For WhatsApp:

When a WhatsApp number is connected to the API (via the LeadConnector App), it can no longer be used on the regular WhatsApp app on a phone. All messaging moves to the LC inbox. Any existing chat history on the phone is not transferred. The client needs to accept this before you touch the number.

For Instagram:

The account must be a Professional account (Business or Creator) and connected to a Facebook Page before it can be linked to LC for DM routing. If it is currently a personal account, they need to switch it first.

This means your team will already have client names and numbers visible from day one, instead of starting from scratch.
